Saturday 25th February will be an unforgettable evening of classical piano and laughter, as internationally acclaimed concert pianist/comedian, David Scheel, brings his hilarious concert, "Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only the Piano Player", to Mittagong Playhouse. The Bowral Autumn Music Festival is now well established as a significant event in the musical and cultural life of the Southern Highlands. The sixth Annual Festival 'Venetian Grandeur' will be hald from 23 to 25 March 2012 and features of some of the greats of Venice such as Gabrieli, Albinoni, Monteverdi and Vivaldi. Whilst St Jude's Church Bowral may not be on the same scale as St Mark's Basilica in Venice, it will nevertheless resound with Venetian atiphony brought to life by leading ensembles including the Lurline Chamber Orchestra, Capella Sublima and Sydney Brass.

Following last years overwhelming success, the SHBG will hold the second Town and Country Garden Weekend. Six strikingly varied gardens are open to raise funds for the establishment of the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens on the recently dedicated site, on the corner of Old South and Kangaloon Roads, Bowral. Three town and three country gardens with displays of floral art, botanical art and sculpture as well as a large plant stall with many rare and unusual varieties for sale. Hundreds of cool climate plants will be for sale as well as daffodil bulbs from local breeder and grower, Tony Davis. Admission to the plant stall is free.
