This show will be supporting Challenge Southern Highlands an organisation that provides employment at Welby Garden Centre for adults with disabilities from our local community.

Saturday 25th February will be an unforgettable evening of classical piano and laughter, as internationally acclaimed concert pianist/comedian, David Scheel, brings his hilarious concert, "Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only the Piano Player", to Mittagong Playhouse. Expect to hear a piece by Andrew Lloyd Webber played with one hand, and another by Bach in the other, at the same time; a memorable "translation" of the lyrics of "Waltzing Matilda", a well-known folk tune played in the styles of Mozart, Rachmaninoff and an i-Pod (!), plus lots of beautiful music played by an acknowledged master. David's concert has sold out across America (where he's regarded as the successor to the great Victor Borge), in London's West End, and last year was the stand-out hit of the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

Come on a tour of the famous Mittagong Mushroom Tunnel. Hear Noel explain about the exotic mushrooms growing in this unused railway tunnel. See the colours - you will be fascinated. Take a punnet home to enjoy later. These tours only run 3 times this year - 28 Feb, 8 May & 20 Nov 2012. Price: $35. Time: 10am and 11.30am. Tour duration 1 hr. Bus leaves from the Visitors Information Centre. NB The tunnel is 600 metres long. Temperature in the tunnel is a content 16o. Floors can be slippery - non slip shoes must be worn.
