Interest in local grown and produced food has rapidly grown in recent years, with people seeing not just the nutritional and taste benefits, but also the ability to strengthen local communities and reduce food miles.
ALL farmers, markets, farmgate sellers, locals and visitors alike now have the opportunity to learn more about how their food is produced and to build relationships with those who grow that food.
With Stage One of this project now up and running, seeing over 30 farmers, growers and distributors registered and showcased on the Southern Highlands Harvest Food Trail Map.
Southern Highlands Harvest is a collaborative project of: Slow Food Southern Highlands, Transition Shire Wingecarribee, Tourism Southern Highlands and Harmony Farm.
