McVitty Grove has been established as a specialist Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris producer in the Southern Highlands. These varieties thrive in the estates high altitude and cool climate.
Pinot Noir is regarded as the most seductive of all red grape varieties with its sweet berry and spice characters and soft silky tannins.
Pinot Gris, which is an emerging variety in Australia, has been considered the easiest white wine to drink with food. Guava cinnamon undertones are characteristic of McVitty Grove's full fruit driven Alsatian style Gris. Yields are kept low and the vines are managed with minimal intervention to ensure the grapes develop natural flavours and characters.
